Add Rental Property Features to Canadian Subscription [Edited]

anyone know why this feature is absent in the CDN version?

    This feature needs to be added back on. It is a feature advertised on the Canadian Quicken website, and the reason I downloaded Quicken. Yet I find it to be non existent. The support team could offer no viable resolution to this.

    There isn't any "add back in", these features have never been in Quicken Windows Canadian. It would be "add it".

    I wouldn't hold your breath on this. I might be surprised, and they will put it in, but I doubt it.

    Why is it that the rental property tab can not be added to the Canadian version?

    Is it due to the fact that we are such a small percentage of your total sales that it is not cost effective to pursue?

    There are also other banking downloads and bill payment options that we lack that is available in the US version.

    You really should make the differences between the two versions a little more transparent so when purchasing the subscription you know exactly what is and what isn't available.

    Sadly we Canadians are just an expendable afterthought for Quicken. We used to have our own Canadian support, but as our annual fees increase with the new subscription model, the support seems to decrease.

    This missing Rental Property feature is clearly false advertising. It would go a long way to restore integrity and respect for Quicken to actually provide the Rental Property Tools that they advertise for Canadians, but I imagine the cost/benefit analysis probably indicates it's not worth it for them. Canada is a minuscule market.

    Please Quicken, do us Canadians a big solid and live up to your advertised promises.

    Another example, I pay Quicken for the ability to update stock market prices daily, but Quicken doesn't access the NEO exchange, (for stocks like Apple and Amazon to be held in Canada dollars on a Canadian exchange), so I have to update these holdings manually based on quotes from other sources. It means I end up paying Quicken for work I have to do myself.

    Same thing with Rental Property tracking. I have to use a spreadsheet in a different program to keep track of Property Rentals, so I empathize with all those who spent the extra money to get this feature in Quicken Home & Business for Canada, only to find after installing the program that it's not available.

    @JosefW but in my opinion "will/should/probably will happen if anything) and what I suggested above is changing the website, not Quicken Windows Canadian to include rental properties. Quicken Windows Canadian has never had rental properties. It would be a big undertaking to add it and sadly I just don't see that kind of support for Quicken Windows Canadian from Quicken Inc.

    In my opinion there is really only one hope for this, and that is if Quicken Inc completely merges Quicken Windows US and Quicken Windows Canadian. They have partially done that and if they can complete it, it would benefit everyone.

    I feel like my interface hasnt changed much over the years. Not enough features added for Canadian or Mac users. I just bought the Home and Business because it says it handles rental properties, but it doesn't. An invoice feature would be nice for business or just some of the functionality of the Windows and US versions. But for now the Mac Canada version just does the same old thing its always done. 😕
