How to connect with new Bank of Hawaii online banking interface

Granted BOH's changes to its website is the main issue, but if I can still download a QFX file of the transactions from the new BOH website, why can't it be imported by my Quicken Classic?
Is the QFX file being generated by BOH bad in some way? Or is Quicken Classic unable to read the file? If that latter, shouldn't Quicken be able to fix that?
I can send or upload the QFX file if there is a safe way to send it.

@Crispin38 Here's what Quicken's website says about the OL-221-A and OL-221-B errors you reported: "Receiving this error when downloading a QFX file directly from your bank's website indicates an issue with the file itself. You will need to contact your bank to resolve this issue."
As this is a Community Forum, it's not the place to engage with Quicken about the specifics of your file. I suggest you call Quicken Support to try to get a representative to verify the problem and pass the faulty .qfx file to the developers. But it's possible that based on what triggers those errors, they may not choose to dive into diagnosing what's wrong in the syntax of the file and simply refer you back to the bank's IT department.

I have the same problem with BOH. Since they eliminated the "chat" on their site for customer service, I had to sign up for an appointment to have a rep call me, whch she just did. She could not help, and was not even aware of the problem. She put me on hold for a "customer service rep" and as I am typing this I am still on hold. I tried to call the other day and was on hold for about 10 minutes before I gave up and hung up. I have the speakerphone on while I am checking my email but won't stay on the line forever. I doubt they will have any answer anyway from reading all the comments above. Probably time to switch to a different bank.

I cancelled my Quicken sub. Another website that I was using as a financial dashboard was able to handle the BOH changes and I can use that.

Follow up to my previous comment. I finally reached BOH customer service and they put me on a list to call when they have resolved the problem - no estimate of time given.

I too, use Bank of Hawaii and Quicken Premier for Mac and am still dealing with the interface issue. It has no ETA at this time (10-1-24.). I called customer support and spoke to a supervisor who extended my Quicken subscription by two months for the inconvenience. I have been a Quicken user for nearly 40 years and never had a problem like this taken so long to resolve. I realize that Hawaii is a small market for Quicken, but it did something for me regarding this issue.

OK - thanks for that - maybe I will ask Quicken for the same thing althought the problem is really BOH. I got a call from BOH on Sunday with instructions on "how to get around" the problem. I told them to email me the instructions. What a joke - maybe 8 complicated steps. Alternative 2, on these instructions, is to do exactly the same thing that already does not work. I think it's time to change banks.

Hello @bdflood,
There are no updates yet; it is still an ongoing issue. To track the status of the issue, I recommend bookmarking the Community Alert linked in the post quoted below, since any updates, once available, will be posted to that alert.
Thank you!
