Need 8 significant digits for Crypto (on Q Mac)

    I've been searching for ways to add crypto, bitcoin specifically and I've found that Quicken does not support it. Please add me to the list of customers requesting this. Is it really that difficult to add Bitcoin as a security?

    @RalphT A moderator merged your request into this existing Idea thread regarding adding 8-digit precision for tracking cryptocurrencies Happily, that feature request is marked as "Planned" by the developers. We don't know when it will be released, but at least it is on their development schedule.

    Meanwhile, if your main concern was how to track the price of Bitcoin as a security, please see this post, which describes how it can be done:

    @Robert Lynch There is no way I know of to see all the Planned ideas in one place. You can go to the Mac Product Idea page and click through each of the sub-categories to skim for Planned ideas. (I’ve done it on occasion; it’s not as time consuming as in might sound!)

    I just switched from Windows (with 8 digits) to Mac, which truncated all my transactions to 6 digits. Please add 8 digit support.

    @probell I wonder if the problem you experienced is with the conversion from Quicken Windows, as it is currently possible to enter 8 decimal places for transactions in Quicken Mac, as illustrated here:

    I don't recall when this was changed, but Quicken Mac originally only recorded 6-digits, but as you can see, it now records 8 digits.
