Download of Security prices from Toronto for Nov. 3rd doesn't update prices.
Using Quicken under up-to-date Windows 11 updates always worked but Nov 3rd, 2025 update from Toronto suddenly doesn't show new prices but shows the update time and "for each security" shows volume updates for Nov 3rd but for prices it shows the Oct 31st price under date of Nov 3rd. However, updates from Mutual Funds worked correctly as before.
Have done the copy and validate file step - no problems other than an incorrect category on a Charge Card Account which was deleted and C/C account fixed stating no action by me required.. Under Security it stated:
- One stock split might be missing - date was 2 days after date I used when I started adding securities with the split price so not a problem.
- Maximum security reference: 42, number of securities: 40
- Analysing securities: All security references are within the normal range
Checked the internet connection all o.k. (Also note that Volume for Toronto is updated as are Mutual funds suggesting not an internet problem.)
Also subsequently updated Quicken to latest version but no fix to this problem.
Also note: Last Win update (a major one) was on Oct 28, 2025 but subsequent Quicken updates up to Oct 31st worked o.k., so I rule out that Win update
It's certainly puzzling that the Volume info is updated for Nov 3rd, 2025 (correctly as I checked) but not the prices (but shown under date of Nov 3rd for each Toronto listed stock with the Oct. 31st price) and Price Info for Mutual funds still worked as before.
Any Canadian with stocks on the Toronto exchange with this sudden problem?
Any suggestion other than manually updating prices which would be cumbersome and negates using Quicken for Securities.
To me it almost sounds like a change at the Toronto Stock exchange without a corresponding change by Quicken or a corruption of my Quicken App re updates. But not found/fixed by the "copy and validate file" step. But why would my Quicken App suddenly be corrupted? (This under my last Quicken version as well as the subsequent update I did today after the problem had surfaced (which as stated did not fix it).

Forgot to mention that one suggestion by Quicken help: Tools >Account List > Investment Accounts to deactivate and then reactivate I did not do as I do not use the update function with my bank, but add data manually. I just use the stock exchange update function and couldn't find a de-activate/activate for that.

There is presently an issue with foreign currency exchange rates in Quicken. Given that F/X rates and security prices all come from a 3rd party feed, perhaps there is also an issue with some security prices.
I recommend you use the Report a Problem feature under the Help menu in Quicken and include the Log files in your report.
@Quicken Kristina @Quicken Anja @Quicken Kathryn flagging this for you as it sounds like it could be further scope to the F/X rate problems.
I own securities that trade on the TSC, but they are mostly ETFs. I don't have any individual stocks.

Thanks Arctic Hare for that info and that you flagged it already. Will look into the Report a Problem feature to find out how to included what log files and do that.
Also checked again as to what info is updated for Stocks and ETF's. it updates :
- Volume (some slightly out with info I checked with the Stock App on my I phone (which may be incorrect although closing prices where always correct) but certainly close. They were for most stocks I own considerably different from Oct 31st.
- It also shows different prices for high and low for Nov 3rd compared to Oct. 31st.
- Just not for current or closing price where it shows the Oct 31st price.
Have not observed a F/X rate problem. Will need to check that too and hope Quicken fixes both problem soon. LOL. N.B. and yes, I also did reboot my PC and checked again, just in case.
Thanks again.
WK.

@ich-bin-nicht here is a link to one of the posts discussing the F/X issue:

JFI: I checked just now the Nov 3rd High and Lows for 4 stocks (i.e. did not check all securities) as reported by Quicken. 3 are identical with my iPhone app. On one the LOW was 0.03 cent lower that the iPhone app data. So certainly some of the update function seems to be still working but not the most important one.

I entered Nov 3rd prices manually. Now on Nov 4th, the problem seems to have been fixed as the Price Day Change column now again shows the required information. Thanks to Artic Hare for informing Quicken of the problem I posted and to Quicken in fixing it in record time.
