@leishirsute I stand by my (edited for emphasis) post.

Guess it depends on how you define "core". When I look at my Fidelity account balance online, it currently includes (and always has) my holding in Fidelity Money Market Premium Class (FZDXX) as cash, and that's the number it sends to Quicken as my cash balance. I have to "buy" shares if I want them, but it redeems automatically when there's a shortfall in my sweep account (SPAXX). So, is it, or is it not "core"? IDK, but it is cash.

Yes, @mrzookie but if you go to the Positions or Activity & Orders pages on the Fidelity website, it is not cash.

@EvDob Yep, its a hybrid. They track it as a fund, but they treat it as cash.

Hopefully CTP-14859 is tracking this problem with my monthly Vanguard ETF reinvested dividend in my NetBenefits BrokerageLink account. Transactions download as BoughtX & DivX:

But when accepted, the BoughtX turns into a Bought, leaving a negative cash balance:

Ideally, these two transactions should be a ReinvDiv, but I'd settle for a Div & Bought. Problem reported.

Thank you for your reply @EvDob,

Thank you for letting us know you're seeing this issue. It may be related to CTP-14859, but it seems slightly different, since the transaction type seems to be downloading correctly, but then changes once accepted into your register. It may be related to an issue with BoughtX not working correctly that was reported in June.

If the issue has happened more than once, is it happening only in Fidelity accounts, or are you seeing it in other investment accounts also?

    Thank you!

@Quicken Kristina My issue seems more related to CTP-14859 since it's a dividend reinvestment issue, but then again I'm just going off the ticket title. The issue with BoughtX you reference happens when the user downloads an Xin transaction, which I don't have.

I'm only seeing this with Fidelity. This has happened previously. It's getting a bit tiresome all the effort I'm expending to manually fix transactions and report the issues that remain month after month (for this issue) and paycheck after paycheck (for others).

I just want to make sure that all my issues are documented so that Quicken and/or Fidelity engineers are working to fix them. If a new ticket is needed, please create it and post for me to track it. Thanks!

I noticed (early in this thread) there is another ticket for reinvested dividends. What is the status of that one, and how does it differ from CTP-14859?

Thank you for your reply @EvDob,

CBT-841 and CTP-14859 are the same. CBT ticket numbers are the initial ticket number when the issue is reported through the Community. As our teams work on the issue, the ticket will often change to a CTP, QWIN, QMAC, or QCS ticket, as appropriate.

    I hope this helps!

Still waiting for clarification promised on November 5. Is there a workaround worth trying if one's accounts are already set to not set mm accounts to cash?

@proflaw Thanks for your patience—I just heard back from the team.

Yes, that setting should be changed and then reset in order for the workaround to take effect. After doing that, the fund you have should function correctly with the workaround in place. If you continue to experience the same issue afterward, please let me know, and I can let our team know to take another look.

Also, just to keep you updated, a permanent fix for this problem is already in progress.

    Thank you!

@Bob. Following up on your question—our team is still looking into why it’s not on the list. Once I receive more information from them, I’ll be sure to update you.

    Thank you!

So far, the downloaded transactions for Fidelity are looking better regarding reinvested dividends. Several downloaded transactions that were incorrectly downloading as a Deposit/Bougthx pairs are now correctly downloading as ReinDiv. It appears progress is being made.

Downloaded transfer transactions are not being treated as transfers even with the Transfer Detection preference set.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen any progress in.
