Venmo - CC-502 (QWIN)
Just wondering if anyone else is getting this error message with Venmo. It has worked fine for years and in the last two days I've been getting the error message. No problem getting into the account from the Venmo app. Using Quicken for Windows, Version R65.29 Build 27.1.65. 29

Just noticed it today, but have not tried since last weekend.
Ironically, Venmo sent me an email about a login attempt (as it always does), but Quicken never prompted for the usual MFA.

A sanitized file is a data file that removes personally identifiable information so you can comfortably share this file with the Quicken team.

I'm also a Mac user. They split off my comment to the Mac forum. Quicken support has commented on that.

CC-502 error with Venmo for the last 3 days. Suggestions?

I have had the same problem for the last two days. Can log in to my Venmo account on the web with no problem. When I try to update my Quicken account it completes with error CC-502. Venmo does send me an email that a sign-in attempt occurred.

I have had the same issue the past few days. I can log into my Venmo account with no issues. Seems like a global issue with Quicken.

Same problem, Getting a 502 error. I tried changing my password on Venmo side in case there was something weird with that. No effect, no downloads.

Since Wednesday, 01/07/2026, my Quicken Windows subscription given CC-502 errors when running the 1-step update. I've been running it for months/years without a problem.

Venmo is part of PayPal and the two have been going through some integration the last couple of months. I'm wondering if these Venmo errors are related to this OSU message about PayPal that I've gotten for 3 different PayPal accounts in 3 different and unique data files? This started for me just this morning.

I reported the problem via quicken. could not create a Sanitized copy, data fiel 1.8GB.

OK, can quicken explain why we are paying annual/regular subscription fees? This issue has been continuing for nearly three weeks and it is NOT YET RESOLVED? Nor is there an estimate of when it will be fixed? Whatever escalation path has been followed so far is not working. This needs further and higher escalation so that the issue gets addressed with a sense of urgency.

We understand how frustrating it is to see this issue continue, especially when Venmo access is something many of you rely on regularly. The Venmo issue is still an active, known problem and remains under investigation.
At this time, there is no ETA available for a resolution. These types of connection issues can take time to resolve due to the coordination required between systems, and while we know that’s not the answer anyone wants, please know this is not being ignored.

I am still getting the CC-502 errors with Venmo as well. Interestingly, though, when I do a OneStep Update, I still continue to always get an email from Venmo notifying me of a login from a new device!

This has been going on for about a month. This is not acceptable. I may start looking at alternatives to Quicken. At the very least, there should be an offer of refunds for our trouble.
