How to upload an excel Investment file into Quicken?
Between Quicken and Fidelity Investments, one of my investment accounts is filled with inputs that are not as I originally entered them regarding the use of Cash. Fidelity uses a government type mutual fund to account for cash, and I have used the Quicken Core account information to account for Cash. For some reason the Quicken Program or Fidelity have now decided to use some type or placeholder for cash. I would like to upload the Relevant Fidelity account that is in an Excel file format into Quicken (I would make it an additional investment account) so that I can review and modify the actual trading from the last 14 months and then adjust the cash/mutual fund amounts to more accurately account for the "cash" within the account. Please advise if this type of uploading is possible because the current account information in Quicken is not accurate or useful. Thank you for your help with this issue.

Hello @jketterl,
Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately, there isn't a direct way to import an Excel file into Quicken for Windows. You would need to import one of the file types that Quicken supports. For more information, please see our article on importing data into Quicken for Windows:
I hope this helps!

@jketterl In a recent enhancement to Quicken, you can now import investment transactions from a CSV file, which Excel can easily produce. Go to File > Import > Investment transactions for more information.
Unfortunately there currently are rounding errors in the import process, which limits its usefulness. See this discussion for more information on the import issues
@Quicken Kristina the Support article you referenced needs to be updated.
