Don't forget that Quicken does not care about long term customer concerns, like this one here. And like creating personalized default report configurations. Like program starting and running too slowly (on my gaming desktop!). Like investment windows not re-sizing properly. I could go on and on. Sorry about being a little off topic. Please don't reply here to any of these complaints except the thread topic. There are other threads addressing them.

Well on the upside at least we did just get an update that fixed the God-forsaken paper clip because apparently that's an incredibly critical issue affecting users.

My vote: Turn it off. I've only ever NOT answered NO by accident, and that took me a couple minutes to make sure wasn't a big deal. Thanks.

At one point in ancient history, you used to be able to delete the "seed" for what caused these messages to pop up. Back in that day when they would get generated, you could go make the decision as to whether or not they were valid or not (rarely if ever were they valid).

Now I can't find that location or how to deal with these amazingly stupid interruptions to my work flow. They are NEVER right and nothing short of a PITA.

TURN THIS [Removed - Language] OFF!!!

    @Quicken Anja

This change request is now at 43 votes. Considering that's just the 43 that made the effort to read and vote, it's reasonable to presume, statistically speaking, that the number of users desiring this change is much greater than 43.

How many votes is typically required for product management to consider it important to users and integrate a change into the product roadmap?

@MSStateDawg Since I asked the same question recently, I can tell you it is 50 for Quicken Windows US.

I just made it 44. I've been wanting to stop these popups for years. It will ask if the payment is one that is a previous payment from perhaps a year ago and is not a scheduled payment. Furthermore, it will be for a completely different payee with a completely different dollar amount in a completely different account. There is no similarity whatsoever.

Stop the madness! Let me turn this suggestion off!

    Hello All,

The status of this Idea has been changed to Under Consideration as it has reached enough votes and has been submitted to our Product and Development team for further review.

    Thank you!

Logged in to vote "Yes", but was unable to vote…….because it turns out that I already did so ALMOST THREE YEARS AGO. Why are we still pestered by this popup? Will no one rid me of this troublesome piece?

I put in my vote to add the feature to turn this off. Here's my case from another post — IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DOWNLOADED TRANSACTIONS.

This 'feature' drives me crazy. Why do I get the message "Is this the payment for this schedule bill or deposit" when I am entering a scheduled transaction. Is there a way to turn this off? In the several years I've seen it, my answer has ALWAYS been NO. It is not at all useful to me.

This occurs when I enter scheduled payments from the "Bill and Income Reminders" page, and it always is asking about a prior entry I've made but not necessarily to the same payee or amount.

Roger That! This "feature" sucks. Got my vote in.

Agreed. Really annoying, and seems like it'd be pretty easy to fix if someone (at Quicken) would take a quick look at it.

This is just another example of Quicken ignoring multiple long term requests by long term users for many useful changes.

I sometimes have to hit this button dozens of times and I have never had to say, "Yes." I would love for this to be optional.

As long as it's an option, I'm fine with this.

I must be one of the few who uses this feature to my benefit. I sometimes enter a transaction manually, forgetting that it's a scheduled reminder. In this case, I do want QWin to ask the question.

How many responses do you require BEFORE you fix this issue????

Normally it takes about 50 votes before they consider an Idea. This post has met that threshold and has been "Under Consideration" since June 8.

Since not everyone sees this issue, I suggest you use the Help > Report a Problem menu in Quicken to submit the issue online. In your submission, be as clear and thorough as possible. Reference the issue number CBT-342 and provide a link to this discussion. Include a sanitized data file. Provide step by step instructions to reproduce the problem and note any error messages you receive. They will not pay much attention to a problem unless they can replicate it in house or see it in a support session.

You will not get a response to an electronic submission, but apparently they review and prioritize the submissions and use the data to help resolve problems they decide to work on. The more reports they receive the better.

I have read comments dating back to 2021 asking for a option to eliminate this prompt. I think Quicken programmers can't figure it out and/or they just don't care about streamlining the program for users. This has become very similar to when Intuit owned quicken and nothing seemed to progress.

I doubt either of these are the answer. I would bet it is just a question of priority. There have been numerous changes made to Quicken since 2021. People seem to think that if their request isn't made, that a given company doesn't do anything, which is incorrect.

They have actually seen this issue

They were able to view it in my computer and submitted a ticket

    That was last year

Many many updates since then but this issue is still not fixed
