I cannot download updates when I am logged in Quicken.

When an update appears I click on update and it goes through its procedure and when it comes to extracting files, I get an error that it cant complete update because the procedure is being used elsewhere.

    Check if Windows Defender Controlled Folder Access feature Ransomware protection is enabled.
    If so, configure it to add Quicken as an "allowed app" without turning off Ransomware protection. Perform the last step in:

    Do you use Trend Micro antivirus (or some other antivirus program)?
    If so, temporarily disable your antivirus for the duration of the installation process.
