I can't add an American Express account.
Keep getting "Quicken couldn't find an accounts to add". I can successfully log into American Express but continue to get this message. How can I fix it?

Hello @Jak29672,
If you don’t mind, could you please provide a screenshot of the error message you described receiving? If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments. Please remember to redact any personal information as needed.
Thanks!

On the browser webpage immediately prior to the one shown there was a list of accounts found at AmEx.
Did you click each of these accounts, to put a checkmark on the ones you want to activate?
If you didn't do that, then "no accounts found" (meaning no accounts selected to add) is the result. Please try the process again, starting with the Tools / Add Accounts process in Quicken (not Setup Now from Account Details)

Yes I checked the box associated for that account.

This is what I get after logging into AmX and checking the box for the account. The previous screenshot when it takes me back to Quicken.

If you haven't done so already, I'd say it's time to call Quicken Support on the phone during posted hours of operation and request help. Let them do a screen share session with you to review the situation on your computer and walk you thru the process.
Quicken Support:
- To contact Quicken Support, please use this link only: https://www.quicken.com/support#contact-support and select Chat or Phone support.
- Support is only available during posted hours of operation
- The phone number can be found at the support website.
- To start Chat or see the support phone number, your browser must allow popup windows from https://www.quicken.com
See https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7870684/faq-talk-to-support-does-not-respond#latest - If you are eligible for Premium Support (purchased separately or included as part of your subscription to Quicken Premier or HB&R) call the number that can be found at the top of your My Account page at https://www.quicken.com/my-account (US) or https://www.quicken.com/canada/my-account (Canada) when you log in with your Quicken ID. Place the call using the phone whose number is recorded in your account profile.
- Other links or phone numbers found elsewhere on the Internet, even in some posts or emails received from other Community members, may not be from Quicken or may not be up-to-date. Use those at your own risk.
- Unlike other so-called "Quicken support providers", the real Quicken Support is free for all currently supported versions.

I had the same problem and went through the the steps many times with the same result. I disconnected the account in desperation and attempted to reconnect. Same results. "no account found" As a last resort when in the "check the account" window I clicked on American Express Bank (I don't have an AMEX bank account) instead of the AMEX logo associated with my credit card. It found my account, linked it and problem solved!

Same issue - can connect to the main account - but my daughters have accounts with unique numbers and logins - these do not connect as noted by others. Have deactivated and have tried to reactivate and have also tried the "new account" workaround - this does not work either. As noted by others, Amex authorizes these but upon "return to quicken" I get the account not found, try again/start over message. Have tried several times. I then used American Express - Banking as suggested by xjhutch and can connect but I get the balance of the main account rather than the sub-account. Very strange!

Information provided should be enough for Quicken to resolve issue. Tried using AmX Banking but only get balance for main account.
This wasn't a problem before the most recent update.
