Hide unused categories in Recent Performance view

The Investing Recent Performance view shows lots of unused categories. In my view, there are 6 that don't need to be displayed as there is nothing in them. They take up a lot of space. They don't appear to show up in other views, but I can't seem to find a way to remove them in this view. There also doesn't appear to be a way to reorder the categories, or I would move them to the bottom.

Boy, almost a year later, and no comments from the Quicken staff on this issue. I can't imagine it being that difficult to solve this issue since the other views don't display this unneeded clutter. Hopefully this comment will bring this issue to the attention of somebody that can fix this for me. Thanks.

    Huh? You need to clarify.

Recent Performance view suggests one of the standard off-the-shelf Portfolio Views (Ctrl-U). Is that what you mean?

Categories? Do you mean the columns or the Group By selection. You don't like the default. Customize it to fit your needs.

I will say I take issue with the Group By "Security Type" sometimes (but not always) displaying types that are not applicable, are all $0. But I have no idea if that relates to your idea.

Looks like nobody else has tripped over the same issue you reported and therefore has not voted and/or commented on that.

To get this ball rolling, could I trouble you to capture an image snapshot of the view or report in question so that we all know what you're looking at and what categories you're referring to?

Yes, an off the shelf view. There are types that don't need to display, since there are no items under them. I have added security types, and they display with the items under them.

Currently I have no items in security types of Bond, CD, Crypto, Emp. Stock Opt., ESPP, and Inv Partnership, yet the headers display with no items under then and values of 0.00. I would like to hide these unneeded types. There is no option to do this, and it just clutters up the view. I would move them to the bottom, but there is no way to select the order things display. It appears to be alphabetical.

Maybe make a tab available in the gear button to allow dragging of the desired types, and also up/down buttons to order them. Or just simply hide the types that have no securities that use them.

I could post a pic, but I believe it should be easy to see for anybody that doesn't have securities that use all of these types. Just go to the investing tab and select Recent Performance, Group by: Security type.

    OK, thanks for responding.
Under the Options gear icon, have you enabled "Show closed lots"? This would show securities which you currently do not own any shares … and therefore would show zero value Security Types which you previously owned.

Under the Customize button, have you selected closed accounts? Try deselecting those and see if that improves the picture.

This problem has been documented elsewhere and is far more general than any one (Recent Performance) view. Reference:

As finished in that discussion, there is an acknowledged report on the issue - CTP-8812.

Perhaps @Quicken Kristina can report back on that issue.

    Hello @q_lurker,

I checked on CTP-8812. I'm not seeing any updates. The ticket is open and in work, no ETA.

    I hope this helps!
