Graph plotting future spending vs income

In an older versing of Quicken on my PC, I was able to see a moving graph showing my income vs spending for the next 12 months. I am unable to find a similar graph in Quicken Classic. I felt this was a very handy tool and am disappointed it is not available on this program.

@ajay47 I've only ever used Quicken Mac, so I'm not familiar with the graph you're describing in Quicken Windows. Just so I understand correctly, are you saying you pre-enter (most of) your income and expenses for the next 12 months in Quicken? Are these all scheduled transactions.

I wonder if the Home > Dashboard > Income & Expense card was modified to allow selection of a future date range rather than past date range if this would meet your needs? It's a bar graph for each month, but it does show totals for income, total expenses, and net income. (To be clear, this functionality doesn't currently exist; I'm only suggesting it because it might be easier/faster for the developers to implement as a tweak to the existing dashboard graph, rather than building a new custom graph tool.)

I have asked a moderator to change your post into an "Idea" post in the Product Ideas section of the forum. "Ideas" are feature requests which other users can comment on and add votes for. Once an Idea reaches a critical mass of votes (currently fr Quicken Mac, that's 30 votes), it gets forwarded to the development team for consideration.

    Hello @ajay47,

I went ahead and changed your post to an Idea so other users who have the same or a similar request can vote on your idea by clicking the up arrow (see below).

Ideas are also reviewed by our Development and Product teams in order to improve Quicken and implement new features requested by customers.

The only systems Quicken has for predicting the future is reminders and what one might enter into the Lifetime Planner.

Reminders have never been in any reports, they have only been used in the Projected Balance view (which can also be seen on the old Home view) and the budget.

Given the right reminders and the annual budget view can see this in a table format. The Projected Balances would be more only for "cash flow" where you wouldn't have them separated out, just transactions and the final balance.

As for a graph, I sort of remember a graph for the budget in an older version, but that would be a version before Quicken 2012.
