Missing One-Step-Update response buttons (e.g. Accept All)

[Windows 10 Home, Quicken Classic Deluxe version R60.20]
I use Quicken on my laptop with an external monitor (and keyboard and mouse). Note: not dual monitor setup - laptop screen is not on, display only to external 27" monitor.
I don't display Quicken full screen, but display about upper 2/3 of my 27" monitor. Lower 1/3 screen usually has other app open, e.g. Windows Explorer or VoidTools' Everything or Notepad so I can view, take notes, or drag/drop attachments/receipts.
My issue is after performing a "One Step Update". What's often missing on my monitor are the buttons at bottom of the "Downloaded Transactions" popup that display "Accept All/Accept/Delete/Finish Later". Depending on list quantity, sometimes the only way I can see the buttons to respond is to temporarily make Quicken full screen. Then return monitor to non-fullscreen Quicken. (Yes, I've scrolled down as far as possible. No button responses visible)
Am I missing something? Maybe Windows or Quicken settings? Quicken is the only app where this is an issue. Otherwise my monitor is fully mirroring my laptops' screen. Does anyone else experience missing button responses on their screen?

Hello @fuzzydoug,
I apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused!
I attempted to replicate the behavior but was unable to do so. To assist you further, I’ll need to gather some additional details.
Does this issue occur every time you perform a "One Step Update," or is it intermittent? When you temporarily switch Quicken to full screen and back to the resized window, do the buttons remain visible only in full screen, or do they reappear in the resized window after toggling? When did you first notice this issue? Has it always behaved this way, or is this a recent change in behavior?
Additionally, could you let us know where your data file is stored on your computer? Is it saved in a folder on your local hard drive (C: drive), or in a cloud-based/external drive (e.g., OneDrive, Dropbox, USB, etc.)?
Please check back and let us know! Thank you.

I've had a similar issue since the last two updates. I open Quicken to a maximized window on my 23" desktop display. After doing a one-step update, the small transactions window does not show the buttons across the bottom, I.E. Accept, Delete, Done buttons. If I click the minimize chevron at the upper right corner of the download transactions window, and then click it again to maximize it, the buttons will appear. This strange behavior does not happen with all accounts. It may happen with a credit card account but not the checking account. I am not able to resize the download transactions window either. This was never an issue in the past, only since the more recent updates. It's just a nuisance.

Hello @geo791,
Thank you for adding to this discussion, though I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this.
If you don't mind, could you please provide screenshots of the issue you described? If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.
Thank you!

Drag up the divider between the register and downloaded transactions. If the register display is too large, the buttons are drawn below the screen, which seems to me like another bug.

@mnml0 beat me to the response … thank you!
(I know, this image has existed for many years, with occasional updates. Goes to show for how long we've been discussing glitches with the Downloaded Transactions tab area here in the Community)
Sometimes the Downloaded Transactions tab area is not tall enough and it appears that Quicken cannot correctly calculate how many transaction lines it can display in addition to the row of buttons. As a result, the row of buttons seems to slip below the window.
Drag the tab area towards to top if the register, to make it taller by a fraction of an inch, until the row of buttons appears. Quicken (supposedly) remembers the height of the area in each account register for future sessions so you don't have to repeat this action over and over again.
Alternatively, if you're not using the total height of the monitor to show the Quicken window, make it a little taller instead.0 -
Hello @Quicken Anja
This strange behavior started with a recent update. As I stated above, I am able to make the buttons appear by minimizing, then maximizing the download transactions window. If I minimize and restore the whole window, the buttons will also reappear. The screenshot shows what I see following the one-step update. Thank you.

@geo791 Thank you for providing additional information and the screenshot!
There are a few troubleshooting steps we can try. To begin, I’d like to determine if the issue lies within your program specifically.
Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling Quicken? Please refer to the following support articles for instructions on uninstalling here and reinstalling here.
However, after you have uninstalled and before you proceed with reinstalling, please open your Windows File Explorer and navigate to This PC > C: Drive > Program Files (x86) and delete the folder titled "Quicken" (doing so does not affect your data files).
After you have deleted this folder, go ahead and try reinstalling.
Let us know how it goes!

To get the mouse pointer to change to the vertical double-pointed arrow you need to very slowly move the mouse up and down over the grey bar between the register and the tab area. If you move too fast, you may see a brief flicker of the mouse pointer, but not the double arrow. Try again, moving very slowly and you should eventually get it.
Remember that the tab area must be open at the time you want to resize it.
You may want to review the system settings in Control Panel / Mouse (properties) / Pointer options. If the mouse pointer moves too fast with the tiniest mouse movement, you may need to change to a slower pointer speed setting.

I see this issue almost every day. Collapsing and restoring the compare-to-register pane causes the buttons to reappear. It is definitely a display bug.

@UKR I have uninstalled and reinstalled Quicken Classic per instructions given by Quicken Anja. I will have to wait until there are transactions to download to determine if that resolved the issue. I am a computer repair tech so I understand the arrow to resize the window as you explained. I discovered another phenomena following the reinstall. Some of my settings had to be reset, such as field widths and font size. The font size defaults to 8pt and I need to change that to 10pt. With the font size at 8pt, the window resize arrow is visible but when I change to a 10pt font, the arrow will no longer appear. These are little bugs in the programming in my opinion and I am pretty certain that when I have transactions to down, the issue of the missing buttons will still exist.

@Quicken Anja Follow up… tonight I had one credit card transaction to download and sure enough, the buttons were missing. I had a feeling that the issue could be tied to using a register font differing from the default. I changed the font from my preferred 10pt back to the 8pt and the buttons appeared. I then changed the font back to 10pt and the buttons remained visible. So apparently this is a small bug in the software.

FYI
In my case, the workaround is to change the font size from my chosen 10pt, down to a 9pt. Then the action buttons below the downloaded transaction window show normally.0 -
