Please note, I'm not looking for someone to help debugging this problem.
First let me say that for quite some time my use of use of Quicken has been more "hobby" than "need". And as of the beginning of the year, I stopped using it for any investment transactions, and so even the "hobby" was for tracking a checking account and 3 credit card accounts that I can easily track from the emails I get for every transaction and from my Fidelity account and the account websites. As such, my threshold for tolerance of problems has gone way down.
The latest started when I figured I would try the "Retail Categorization" feature again and found it was no longer fetching Amazon order transactions again as shown in the extension.
After debugging the extension, it looks very much like the extension doesn't do the actual fetching of the Amazon order information/transactions. Which implies that this is being done on a Quicken server. I can be completely wrong about this, but without any explanation from Quicken Inc (which is never going to happen) that is my guess.
So, with trying all the kinds of things like turning it on and off in Quicken, logging off and on of Quicken in the extension, and of Amazon, and removing and adding the extension again I figured the last possible step was to do a Cloud delete/reset.
I did that and of course I needed to setup my online connections to my financial institutions again (Chase and Citi). Well, on both sites it gets to the point where both of them have said they have authorized the connection, and then there is the redirect back that is supposed to tell Quicken/Intuit that the authorization has been completed and then this happens.
This for both financial institutions. It also happens for a copy of the data file, and in a new data file.
So, this really ends the last use case I had for Quicken.
I might hang around the forum and post from time to time, but without actually using Quicken I doubt I will have much to contribute.
It has been a good run and Quicken did provide me some real value when I was younger and had more complex finances to deal with and learn about my finances for that matter, but nothing lasts forever. Take care.
