I had my hard drive replaced, now quicken asks for a activation code that I can not find

    Thank you for reaching out to the Community regarding your issue, although I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your Quicken. Could we get some more information about the issue. What version of Quicken are you running? You can check by going across the top of Quicken to help > about Quicken. From there we can see what version we're running. Are you able to load into the files at all as well? 

    Once you get a chance to let us know more we'll see what we can do to resolve the issue you're having.

    I use Quicken Deluxe 2017 I had the hard drive replaced and with that I can no longer log into Quicken without the acyivation code

    Thanks for the update. That's interesting you should be able to use the program still by signing in with the same email you use on the community. I would double sign out and sign back in if that's the option as the 2017 product is still attached to your account so you wouldn't need to activate it again. If you want you should be able to reinstall 2017 by going to your Quicken.com my account page. I'll leave a link down below so you can download it again if needed.

    Quicken Windows US 2017 shouldn't have an activation code.  The use of an activation code started with Quicken Subscription, which is 2018 and above.

    Please post a screenshot of the request for an activation code.  Note you can drag and drop an image on the comment box to include it.

    Also confirm that you are in fact using Quicken 2017 and what patch version (Help -> About Quicken).

    You should also make sure that you have updated to the latest patch version of Quicken 2017 so that you are logging in with the Quicken ID and not the Intuit ID which was used in the older patch versions.

    The latest patch version for Quicken 2017 is R20.6.  Quicken Inc seems to still be sending this out during the install even though they have never made it available as a manual patch.

    FWIW, didn't Quicken at some point ship upgrade CD;'s that did require an activation code?

    In the distant past I think there were using such for "trial CD", but I have never heard of this being used on any US retail CDs.

    uninstalled quicken and used my quicken CD and reinstalled quicken Finally got quicken to open up looks ok now
