Inserting an image into transaction attachment fails

I use SnagIt to capture check images into the Windows 10 Clipboard. When I try to insert that image from the Clipboard into a transaction attachment, I eventually get a message that Quicken is Not Responding to that action. I've tried saving the image to a file and then pasting that file into the transaction with the same results. This seems to have started with the last Quicken release. Has anyone run across this situation before or have any solution to this issue?

    Hello @JamesBorders,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about this issue.  I'm sorry to hear you're running into this problem. Do you keep your Quicken file on your C drive or is it on a shared network drive?  Is your Quicken file synced with any cloud service, such as One Drive or Dropbox (if it is, you will usually see the service name listed in the file location)?  The simplest way to check your file location, if you have Quicken up and the file open, is to click on File, then look near the bottom of the list, just above where it says Exit.  It will list the file locations for the 4 Quicken files you have most recently accessed, with the one you are currently in at the #1 spot.

Also, since you mentioned this just started with the latest patch, have you tried reinstalling that update patch? If you have not done that yet, this article gives directions on downloading and reinstalling that patch.

    Thank you.

I've just noticed that it is taking 4 to 5 minutes for an image from my clipboard to paste into the transaction attachment feature in Quicken. This seems to be an extraordinarily long time for such a simple action. I've used this feature in Quicken for multiple years and it never used to take this long to complete. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this has started taking so long?

Yes, I'm storing my data files on the C: drive in the Documents\Quicken folder.

I just downloaded and installed the Mondo version of Quicken Premiere. I'm running R49.22 (same as before). It took over 5 minutes to paste an image from my clipboard into the transaction attachments dialog. While it was working, a received a dialog box that said, "Transaction Attachments (Not Responding)".

Sorry Jasmine. I down usually login to the community unless I have a problem that hasn't been resolved yet. I did notice that the problem was resolved by Quicken release R49.29 .
