Quicken not updating stock prices today 7/19/2024.

Confirmed. I just checked the quotes for a stock and the last entry was for 6/17 … nothing for 6/18 even though it's actively traded and a quotes download was part of my 7am Scheduled Update
Also tried a quotes update just now. Nothing downloaded for that stock. Also, not quote update, as of 7/18, for my Fidelity funds.

Same here. When I look at investing view, it indicates that stock prices were last updated on 7/18/2024 at 3:58 pm.

Is anyone else experiencing an issue trying to download quotes today (July 18th). My quotes downloaded last night as usual but this morning would not download or update. I have tried to update quotes on 3 different Windows PC’s and none of them will update quotes as of July 18.

Sorry. July 18 is typo. Problem began Friday July 19th. Quotes downloaded as expected on July 18th. The morning of July 19th is when the problem began.

Every day I go to my portfolio page and click "update" to update my investment quotes. Today it is not working. I've signed out and signed back in. And I've tried it on two computers where Quicken is installed. What is going on?

- Is this outage affecting all users on all platforms?
- Is Morningstar the investing service provide for these quotes?
I have 3 PC’s, all running latest version of Quicken and first noticed the problem this mornin 07-19-2024. Quotes worked fine last night at 8:30 PM.

We have received an alert from our investing service provider that they are experiencing an outage. They are working to fix this issue as soon as possible.
In the meantime, Quicken will be unable to update stock prices.

Is this problem part of the major cyber outage has grounded flights and disrupted businesses, banks and media organizations throughout the world?
The technology glitch was caused by a faulty update from CrowdStrike, a U.S. cybersecurity technology company based in Texas, in a single content update for Windows hosts.

They don't have redundancies? Dual systems in case one goes down? One company messes up and it affects the world [Edited - Language]? I swear the Internet is going to be the end of humankind! We should dump it and go back to the old days, LOL!

That would make too much sense. Not sure if the cyber outage is the culprit here, but the timing of the cyber outage and this problem is curious. I think Quicken gets quotes from Morningstar which is a media organization and the news said media outlets were impacted.

Pretty much any Windows server patched with these updates is affected. Airlines and travel is massively affected (no online check in - show up 3+ hours early), etc. One of my favorite internet web stations was affected last night - at least when I went to listen just after midnight. It's dead in the water even as I write this

Hi, I read somewhere in these posts, I can't find it now, that the issue has been resolved. Is this true? Mine is still not updating.

July 20 - seems like there are still issues. after this supposedly being resolved, all i get (after several minutes of updating) is a CC-501 error.
yahoo finance isn't having a problem as it updates fine so the issue must be with quicken.

It says here:
That it has been resolved, but not for me! My stock quotes are still not updating and they are inaccurate.
And at that link it says "This issue has been marked as resolved. However, this Alert will remain available for those who may still be experiencing this."
But there is no way to reply to the post over there! Why does everyone make it so hard to get customer service?

As recently as October 2021, a reliable source identified Mark-it (later IHS Markit now part of S&P Global) as the source of quotes data.

The CC-501 error sounds like it is an unrelated issue. Which financial institution(s) are you seeing this error for? What is the exact error message you are getting with that CC-501?

seriously doubt if it's unrelated. I'll call support tomorrow. stock prices are updated, however transactions are all jacked up. Several thousand dollars appear on accounts that should be zero. Other's have excess funds, amount of shares are wrong.
When quicken works, it's great. when it has a glitch which seems to be about once a month, it causes a lot of headaches.
