Chase Online Balance Not Correct
Answers

What kind of workaround do you expect? Quicken can't just "make up an online balance". If you need to reconcile, there is already the "workaround" to just reconcile to the "statement balance" in Quicken which allows you to put in the balance manually.

FYI the v8 update released this week for Mac still has the same issue.

This problem with my Chase accounts has been occurring for a long time.0 -
This was marked as "resolved" on the issue tracker at
but I am still experiencing this issue with Chase.

Mine has been working correctly for a few days now. My pending transactions are now not included and affecting the online balance.

I've been fine for the last few days so the issue appears to be fixed, at least for me.

Yesterday was the 1st day for me that my CC transactions were correct since about late Nov 2024! I would really like to see or hear of WHAT the issue was, that it took so long to fix! We are paying for a service and if something is not working correctly we should at least be given a "generalized" reason for why it didn't work correctly and what was done for the correction.

@drmcnutt53 That never happens. If it required Chase to fix something, Quicken is not going to lay the blame with Chase because they need their cooperation. If it required their connectivity provider, Intuit, to fix something, they’re not going to blame Intuit for being too slow. And if it required Quicken’s own programmers to fix, they’re not going to blame them for being incompetent. We never learn any details either while a problem exists and is waiting to be resolved or when a problem is fixed.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19930 -
mine is working fine again

@jacobs While I agree that we probably will never see/hear of what the problem was, that doesn't negate the fact that we should! When we pay for a service, we reasonably expect to receive that service without any problems, and if issues should happen, we also should be given at least some sort of explanation as to why we weren't given what we paid for. I'm not asking for "detailed" reasoning.

@drmcnutt53 If the service were all under Quicken’s control or management, I’d agree. But most connectivity issues are due to the financial institution making some change, and then to Intuit for having to play catch-up to work with whatever change the financial institution made. In most such cases, Quicken is on the sideline, a customer of Intuit just as we are customers of Quicken. And they aren’t going to share who was at fault or why it took so long to fix.

Hello @fkick,
I'm sorry to hear you're still encountering this issue. To better assist with this, please provide more details. How is the Online Balance incorrect (for example, is it including pending transactions when it shouldn't be, subtracting pending deposits instead of adding them, etc.)? If the Online Balance is correct, but something else is wrong, please provide more details on what is incorrect.
Please go to Help>Report a Problem and send us a problem report with log files attached. While you will not receive a direct response through this submission, it is necessary for our teams to be able to further investigate the issue.
Please also provide screenshots of exactly what you're seeing in your Quicken and screenshots of the correct information, as it displays on the financial institution website (please redact any personal information). If you're not comfortable posting those screenshots to this discussion, then please include them with the problem report. Note: Problem reports are limited to 10 attachments. If there isn't enough space to include the screenshots, then you can send a 2nd problem report, unselect the log files in that 2nd report, and attach the screenshots. If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.
Thank you!

Hi Kristina,
This has started working for me this morning. Looks like everything is now accurate. Don't know why it took a little extra time, but I think we're good.

Windows 11. As of this morning Chase checking "online" account balance still not correct. Pending charge is added to account balance rather than deducting thereby giving incorrect online balance. This is verified by cross checking with Chase website showing correct balance. Quicken register balance is correct.

Kristina, sent screen shots and logs to help and referenced your name. Quicken Chase Checking online balance incorrect. Quicken is adding ACH pending debits to register balance. Debits should be subtracted. Screen shots show Chase pending transactions and correct online balance.

Hello again, win 11, Chase checking Quicken online balance still incorrect. Debits/credits reversed. All other accounts OK.

Win11 Quicken subscription. Once again this morning my chase checking shows that the credits/debits to my quicken online balance are reversed thereby giving incorrect online balance in quicken.
Can someone at Quicken support please respond indicating whether or not Quicken is attempting to resolve this issue?
I have provided logs, screen shots, etc month ago and just want to know if Quicken support is working on this issue?
I'd also like to point out that Quicken is working flawlessly with my numerous other bank, brokerage, credit/liability accounts encompassing numerous transactions. Quicken is an invaluable tool for my financial planning and execution. This issue with Chase checking is just an annoyance which unfortunately makes me suspicious of other transactions/balances but so far its only Chase checking.

I have this issue. Pending deposits are subtracted from the cleared balance and pending charges are added beck. Seems this must have started in Dec 2024 (this time) as most of the post here are from that time frame. This should provide our technical wizards a clue as to where to look.
Talked with Quicken support and they say it is Chase problem…talked to Chase and they say it is Quicken's problem…surprised at the finger pointing? You should not be!!
