NEW! 4/1/25 Vanguard OL-295-A and Error 16503
We are getting more reports that Quicken for Windows customers are trying to connect to Vanguard accounts via Direct Connect and are getting an OL-295-A error and Quicken for Mac users are getting an 16503 error.
We continue to work with Vanguard to resolve this issue, but don’t yet have an ETA for resolution from Vanguard. In the meantime, Vanguard customers can download transactions directly from Vanguard to import into Quicken:
- Log in to your Vanguard account on the Vanguard website.
- Go to the Activity tab
- Click the Download Center link
- Find the Quicken data download option
- Select the date range for downloading transactions; we recommend “Custom” and setting the date range to 7 days prior to your last successful transaction download. Download the file.
- In Quicken, import the file:
- Quicken for Windows: Go to File > File Import > Web Connect (.QFX File) and select the file you downloaded from Vanguard.
- Quicken for Mac: Go to File > Import > Bank or Brokerage File (OFX, QFX) and select the file you downloaded from Vanguard.
You will then be able to open the file you downloaded (a .QFX file) and Quicken will add these transactions to your Vanguard account. Please be sure to review your transactions in Quicken to make sure there are no duplicates.
To be notified of updates as they become available, please click the bookmark ribbon located in the upper right. If you do not see the bookmark ribbon, please make sure that you are signed into the Quicken Community.
