Hello @MSV65,
Thanks for the feedback—you're absolutely right that clearer steps are helpful. I’ve updated the post to include detailed instructions for both the Fix It and Add New Account flows so users can follow along more easily.
Thank you!

Really wary here. I restored and updated a pre-EWC+ database with the zzz-DC connection last weekend. All is well. I have not updated Quicken with Fidelity since then.
I may attempt OSU with Fidelity this coming Saturday. What can I expect? A DC connection, a prompt to decline a new EWC+ connection, an error with a "Fix It" button, or what?

@Quicken Anja Does the updated migration post imply that the issues reported in this discussion have been resolved since the migration has been resumed? Are those encountering such problems the exception or are most doing the migration encountering the problems described in this discussion? I'm trying to assess if it is a good time to migrate.

I also saw the upgrade went through the new login process and now Fidelity transactions will not update. Tried deactivating and reactivating, rebooted, closed quicken, reopened, all sorts of combos. Single account enabled nothing else still nothing.
So, I restored a backup from 7/25, so happy I do them regularly, and everything updated. I do see the zzz- in the front of the fidelity institution names on One Step Update Summary.
Please QUICKEN let's get it resolved and then push the update.1 -
I spent 2.5 hours with a supervisor on the Quicken support line yesterday regarding the fact that the new connection with Fidelity DOES NOT work. After multiple screen shots, file transfers, etc. the resulting answer was we will send you an email when we figure it out. WOW! Calls into question whether they actually are working the issue or the current state is the future state. Logic would suggest this is not a Fidelity issue and if it was they could simply switch back to DC. I guess we only get email messages from Eric Dunn when there is something else to sell us.

It would be interesting to know if Eric Dunn even knows about this problem and all the customer input seen in this thread (now 6 pages) and zzz-Fidelity Updates (now 8 pages) as well as the completely unhelpful alert UPDATED 8/6/25 Fidelity Cut-Over Migration. Quicken needs to work on Customer Service and Bug Reduction instead of spending so much time on new products and new unneeded features.
How about it ERIC, care to send something to your customer base and address the Fidelity situation?

When I spoke to Fidelity's Quicken technical support a few days ago whose contact info is given at " under Can I export all of my account information? "
They contacted their Quicken tier 2 support to verify that Fidelity has not changed the data that is presented to Quicken. However, the presentation method has obviously changed to EWC+ and most likely the mapping has changed and is causing the problems.

I understand the migration is back on but how do those of us who have broken connections fix it? I did the cutover at least a week ago and the only thing that updates reliably is the price of the holdings. The holdings don't have ticker symbols but they're still updating correctly so I know that part is working.
But my 401k contribution didn't show up correctly. Instead of 3 buy transactions (1 for each fund), it downloaded 1 transaction that just said "Contribution" matching the amount of one of the purchases but it wasn't tied to any investment. It ignored the other two.
And it just did the exact same thing the next day when I did a sell transaction (using the mega backdoor Roth procedure). Prior to this update these transactions worked perfectly.
What is the fix for those of us that migrated and it doesn't work @Quicken Anja?

I've remained on the zzz-DC Connection and successfully run OSU daily, including this morning (8/8). I did not receive the "offer" to upgrade the connection. If I do it will be declined (until 8/20 or beyond). If it shows up and doesn't give me the option to decline I will close the program and use the back-up I created immediately before trying the OSU. Not fun, but more fun than fixing a boatload of data!

Matt— The "workaround" is to restore from backup, your qdata file from a time before you switched. Then run OSU. If OSU prompts you to change connection type, you can skip that part (remind me later). It will add zzz to Fidelity and continue to use DC. Yes, you will have to accept and reconcile all of the transactions again but it will continues to use DC, until Quicken fixes the connection.
I swapped back and it's worked fine (for now). I plan to wait until Quicken forces the switch.

I have been a Quicken user since 1993. I have spent the last 10 days (since July 29) trying to get reconnected to Fidelity. It started with my screen freezing up during downloads, the ZZZ DC accounts showing up, etc. I thought I had done something to cause this before remembering that the migration was beginning on July 29. Ultimately corrupted my file and I had to restore a back-up and Q support recommended that I deactivate Fidelity accounts and reactivate with EWC+. Deactivated and re-activated many times. Best we could get is downloaded transactions for the last 90 days but never valuations. Many times I got nothing but an equity added that I never owned which caused net worth to increase significantly from 2020 to 2024! Many different error codes in the process/One Step Update Summary, e.g. CC -501, CC-800, etc. Support escalated my issues today. This has been frustrating and time-consuming.
P.S. If any of you are SONOS owners, this may also remind you of what we went through with them. I am surprised Eric Dunn has not sent us an email confirming that he is fully aware of the Fidelity problems and 'all hands are on deck' to fix the problems versus leaving us with his July 22 email stating "Lastly…As we migrate more of our connections to Express Web Connect+ (using the OAuth standard), we have seen our download success metrics improve." I wonder what the metrics look like now.

Fidelity is still not working for me either. I've tried resyncing a couple of times and it keeps using EWC. I am able to set my accounts to use Complete rather than Simple investment tracking, but it still does not download transactions properly. For example Dividend transactions, if they are downloaded at all, come down as regular cash deposits, not linked to any security.
When I try to re-add my accounts, I only see Fidelity Investments and Fidelity Investments Institutional, no Fidelity Investments DC.

I won't hold my breath waiting for a communication from Eric Dunn about this!

Just back from vacation while all this was all happening.
Some of you know I run BOTH Windows and Mac while determining which I want to use go forward.
When I got back, no change to Windows. Not even ZZZ. All working just as when I left and all transactions downloaded.
MAC changed to ZZZ. Then next day, back to normal accounts without ZZZ. I have not been prompted to update or change connections to EWC+ on either platform. I cannot connect to Online Biller for my Fidelity credit card and have not been able to for many months now.
So, tried to read all I could on this in the many threads. Where are we? Safe yet? Still issues? Just briefly. I see the two vs 3 decimal places, etc. Wondering though in general if folks are risking it or waiting longer.. Cash balance is important to me and do not want to lose that. And surprised I have yet to be touched in any way other than that odd zzz change and change back.

Completed a switch to EWC+ a week or so ago and for the most part things worked well. That being said, I have noticed with sell transactions, Quicken reports a "Securities Comparison Mismatch" now. The mismatch always is in the +/-0.001 to +/-0.011 range so thus far has not changed account $ value.
The first time I was able to find the differences and update the share balance but the last time I could not find where the mismatch in share balances had occurred after reviewing every transaction in the fund transaction history. Thus far just ignoring these
but something that needs to be addressed.
Would be additional information to provide to the team working with Fidelity to help correct issues. Example attached and occurring in all my Fidelity accounts since switching to EWC+

Attached is a transaction that was downloaded from Fidelity and incorrectly recorded in Quicken today.
Recorded as a deposit with no security information and should have been a Long Term gain from the noted security

I've noticed that the number of shares downloaded from Fidelity on transactions get rounded to two decimal places in Quicken whilst Fidelity is reporting the number of shares to three decimal places. I've had to go back in Quicken and edit number of shares on each transaction to the proper precision (I let it adjust the price since the total dollar amount is correct). After doing this, reconciling the share balance is correct.😒

I haven't seen the issue of shares adjusting to 3 decimal places and was only able to find mismatched shares on the first update after switching to EWC+. Otherwise Quicken shares and market value match Fidelity. Just get the notice after download there is a mismatch (which cannot be found).

Still having problems with Fidelity, even after last week's update.

Quicken. Please provide an update.

As painful as it was, this was my solution. Had to go back to July 24th but was able to restore it and now Fidelity works as it has for years. Hoping I don't have to update to this buggy new connection method anytime soon.

Hello All,
Over the past few years, several large investment firms have moved their connections to EWC+, which, once fully implemented, functions the same as Direct Connect.
Each firm’s transition may include unique challenges, and occasional issues can occur during the process. To ensure a smooth implementation, Fidelity began their migration in phases, starting with an optional migration period in late July.
At this time, Fidelity has paused the migration for additional users while both their team and ours work to resolve the issues that have been identified. Throughout this process, Fidelity has been a strong partner to Quicken and continues to work diligently to address customer concerns as they arise.

Does this mean that if existing Quicken DC (i.e. non-EWC+) Fidelity connections exist, no new accounts (of either the old or new method) can be added at this time? When I tried to add a new Fidelity Credit Card, I got this page for the last few days.

Hello @smess,
Our teams looked into the issue and said that you should be able to add accounts. For those who are unable to add accounts, it's recommended that you contact Fidelity for assistance.
Thank you!

I tried again tonight and experiencing no change (same issue). The history of this is that I had converted a Fidelity brokerage and Roth IRA account to the EWC+ method a few weeks back. I was able to add the Fidelity credit card as a new account (EWC+) after the conversion.
When I discovered the problems (i.e. was not receiving downloads for the brokerage), I had to roll back to a Quicken backup where Fidelity was still connected via DC. This was before the credit card account was added (obviously). That is where I'm at now. Maintaining the DC connection types for the brokerage and Roth, but unable to add a new Fidelity Credit Card.1 -
Please note that information downloaded using "zzz-Fidelity Investments - DC" results in balances that are off by a few cents across various holdings (from 1 cent to 4 cents).

The Fidelity-Quicken issue is beyond aggravating. I did find this post noting that it is a known issue.
https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7964580/new-7-30-25-fidelity-cut-over-migration#latestThat said, Fidelity has pursued several changes in the last several months in the name of "security" that are a bit over the top. Between whatever this is with being COMPLETELY UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD ANY TRANSACTION, and Fidelity will now hold onto deposit you use for phone camera for, for about three weeks before the funds are available, Fidelity has become very user-unfriendly.
I have gone in and deactivated, reactivated, and make all of the other recommended changes - nadda.
Schwab is starting to look better.

Impossible to tell what is Fidelity's and what is Quicken's contribution to these failures. I have my own hunches. And if Schwab has not gone through an EWC+ change, you may wind up with old wine in new bottles yet again, Scooter.
In my opinion, its shameful this was ever released in ANY form the way it was/is. Someone(s) clearly do not understand the responsibilities of a programmer, product manager, etc to their users. ESPECIALLY when there is financial risk associated with said product.
This is not an "ooops, sorrry". This is also not the first time.
