Unresponsive Programmers

It is so frustrating. A number of times I have given feedback asking for two very simple interface issues. I submit my request from the help menu, but It's like I'm talking to a brick wall. I have included my email each time asking for a response, even just "we can't do it because…" Instead nothing.

I have used Quicken for 20 years+ and am paying every year. I….no, WE.deserve better. Here are the two fixes I've requested over and over, please add your voice if you agree.

  1. A keyboard shortcut to the search window in the upper right of registers. I use it ALL the time, it is much more robust and easy than the standard <ctrl>F.
  2. I have a lot of bill pay reminders. This morning 5 showed up, highlighted below and to the left of the register. I have repeatedly asked that the window stay open as I process each bill entry. Instead it closes and I have to re-open it again each time. Very annoying.

    Hello @philhooper,

Thanks for reaching out, and we apologize for any confusion.

To clarify, the problem report submissions sent via Help > Report a Problem do not receive a direct response (as noted at the top of that window—see screenshot below). These reports are used to help our teams investigate specific issues.

These submissions go directly into a database accessible to our Product and Development teams, as well as our Support, Tier 2, and Escalation teams. Reports are reviewed daily—primarily to identify trending issues or to request log files for troubleshooting and escalation. When multiple reports of the same issue are received, they are investigated further, and those that can be replicated or verified are submitted as tickets to the appropriate channels.

Based on what you described, it sounds like you want to submit feature requests. In that case, you can do so by creating an Idea post here in the Community. Please refer to this Community FAQ for step-by-step instructions on how to create an Idea post.

I hope this helps clarify how your submissions are used.

    Thank you!

The submissions were through Help → Report a problem, and not understanding the nature of how that system works/

@philhooper for feature requests Quicken Inc wants you to submit them on this forum as an idea like @Rocket J Squirrel did above. This way other people can vote on it so they can judge how many people want it. To create your own idea go to this page:

To actually talk to someone about a problem it is best to contact Quicken support or post it on this forum.
