Bank of America Reconcile Balance includes Pending Transactions
Using Quicken Classic premier, the most recent version on my PC windows 11.
In the last week something has changed when I reconcile my Bank of America checking accounts. When I download transactions I do NOT include pending transactions. I use the Online balance when I reconcile. This has worked smoothly for years. But now the reconcile Online balance includes pending transactions. Thus, my reconcile is always off by the amount of the pending transactions.
My preference is to have the reconcile's Online balance not include pending transactions which would allow me to reconcile my checking account as I have in the past.

After downloading all the transactions from Bank of America they are all marked "C". When I go to reconcile I come up with a difference of $423.94, which is the total of outstanding transactions that have not cleared yet from my bank. I have the latest Quicken update and I already super validated my file with no issues.
I am hesitant to "rebuild" (if that is the word) my file as in the past this has led to even bigger issues.
Any suggestions?

You probably don't have any corruption but there may be some configuration considerations. I don't use the Online Balance and prefer to use a statement balance. Also, what's your choice for including pending transactions in the current and ending balance?

When I download I have the option to include Pending Transactions off. When I reconcile I use the online balance option. There is no option that I can find to toggle reconcile's online balance between include and not include pending transactions in the Balance. For years the reconcile online balance has not included Pending transactions. In the last week or so the reconcile balance has included the pending transactions which does not match my register balance because I have not downloaded pending transactions. Thus, the descrepancy

Once again…usually around this time, BofA and Quicken start messing up. Reconciliation is off by the amount of the non-cleared items. Please fix this as you do this every year!

Check the opening balance in account. It sometimes gets changed.

For the past few days, I am unable to reconcile my Bank of America checking account balance because the cleared balance includes pending transactions I have not yet downloaded into the register. I have the option to download pending transaction disabled. I have seen this happen before with BoA and eventually they fix it. I'm just wanting to know if others are seeing this and if indeed I'm just going to have to wait for BoA to fix it. Thank you.

axman53 that is exactly what is happening with me. It seems like every year around this time Quicken does this. I do not understand why they cant get it together!

As a workaround, I just accept the balance adjustment transaction, then delete it immediately. I'm assuming BoA will figure it out eventually.

I have the same problem (for accounts where I'm including pending transactions in the register). Up until sometime last week, Quicken used the proper Bank of America online balance, i.e. excluding pending transactions. When reconciling, it now is using an online balance that includes the pending transactions, making it impossible to reconcile those accounts.

Had this issue this week as well the opening balance was changed, (Why I have no Idea the entry is from 2005). When I had to re-auth accounts because nothing was downloading,
