I am having same or similar issue and I'm not sure anyone else said this above. This seems to have started during the last Quicken update (running R65.17 build 27.1.65.17) and has happened many, many times in the past and eventually got resolved (also using Quicken with BofA for 20 years or so). When I download transactions, the actual cleared transactions download but the "online balance" includes the pending transactions. My temp fix is to reconcile the BofA account with all pending transactions and then change the reconcile status back to not reconciled. I was assuming it would be fixed soon, but guess not. All my other non-BofA accounts work just fine.

Starting this week I have been unable to reconcile my Bank of America checking account with the balance as downloaded into Quicken (from Bank of America). The bank's balance includes transactions that are pending, but not yet cleared through the bank. This just started this week.
I see from doing a search, this problem occurred back in June of 2023. I don't know what resolved it back then.
Maybe if/when the day comes that I don't have any pending transactions (per Bank of America), I'll be able to use Quicken's reconcile feature again.
Has anybody else observed this issue this week?

I am still observing this problem any time there are pending transactions in my BoA checking account.

I called Quicken support to see if they could help me with this issue. I am also having the issue with only my BofA Checking account (not my BofA Visa account). When I download transactions and Reconcile them I have to make an adjustment each time when I"m done. I've been using Quicken for years and years and only saw this once, back iin 2023.
The support folks said this was not an issue they were looking at and I should just download the transactions and not Reconcile. Is Quicken actually looking at this as far as anyone can tell?

I researched this issue in 2023 by reviewing the synclog. Do I need to do this again? See below:

Just did my BofA download and saw that my transactions did not include any processing / pending transactions. The onlinebalance shown in Quicken is exactly the amount shown at BofA before any processing / pending transactions. When I finished categorizing all my items, it showed another Adjustment would be required to make my account match the onlinebalance.
Not sure where the mismatch is.

If you have made adjustments in the past to make your Quicken balance match the BoA online balance when there were pending transactions, you will now need to make another adjustment to back out the earlier one.
To avoid this endless cycle of adjustments, when Quicken can't reconcile to the online balance I just hit Finish later and wait a few days until there are no pending transactions. Then the reconcile will complete without a mismatch.

you’re right about that Jim, but it’s too bad that we have to resort to that way of reconciling our Bank of America checking accounts. You’d think after all this time that the technical people could have addressed the issue and resolved it. This is very frustrating.

The online balance that is downloaded by Quicken will match your Quicken register's balance, IF there are no pending transactions. I've found this to be uniformly true as Jim stated.
Until the issue is fixed I do the same as Jim which is finish later. Or one can go to their BofA account online and use the balance that shows for the most recent transaction that has gone through processing

Each time I download my transactions, the online balance matches what the bank shows without the pending transactions. I don't think I've seen a day in years where there are no pending transactions, that sounds like a good idea. My credit card account hasn't had this "adjustment" problem and I almost never have pending transactions there. Must be why I haven't seen the issue there.
I was thinking to setup another account in Quicken for my checking to see BofA will download a clean set of transactions there.
