Product Enhancement Request: Please add a "Make Deposit" function like in QuickBooks, to enable users to make a deposit consisting of cash plus checks, or multiple checks! The only way to do this now in Quicken is to create another account like "Undeposited Checks", enter all the deposit items into that account, then transfer that deposit amount from the "Undeposited Checks" account into the "Checking Account". That's a really clunky workaround for a 2024 application!

Quicken is halfway there in that it just needs to add 2 columns to a split transaction One for the who from and one to indicate if it is Cash, Check etc.

Quick Books already has the program to use this information for a deposit and to print it. You could use your own resources to update this.

I've been using QuickBooks Pro for Windows since 2009 and I love it! I recently sold the business and began using Quicken for my personal finances.

This may seem like a simple request, but an issue is that currently banking transactions can be split among several Categories but each transaction can only have one Payee. When multiple checks are deposited, presumably we would want each check to have its own Payee so that you can report on who you have received the payments from.

Currently using a manual "Undeposited checks" account or entering each check as a separate deposit are the best ways to handle this, but it is cumbersome. It would be nice to have an easy way to enter multiple checks with separate Payees and other details and associate them with a single deposit.

This would be a very useful feature for people who are using Quicken to manage the accounts for a club, non-profit, sports team, scout troop, etc.

Now, I haven't used QB for more than a few years … but QB previously used something akin to an "Undeposited Checks" account.

That's where I got the idea for incorporating such into my Q usage.
