FireFox browser doesn't work when authorizing Citizens Bank

The new Citizens Bank connect method can not be authorized with Firefox. It gets an error about not working with Fintech. Microsoft Edge will work correctly. Quicken needs to work with whomever to correct this.

    Hello @tigre99,

Thank you for letting us know you encountered this issue. There are multiple factors that can impact whether a browser works or not when authorizing accounts to connect in Quicken. Some browser extensions can cause problems, especially ad blockers and pop up blockers. There are also browser settings which may cause issues by blocking communication between the financial institution and Quicken.

    I hope this helps!

Given that Quicken is telling Windows to open an a URL in the default web browser there isn't any possible way for Quicken to monitor what is going on in that session (which makes perfect sense since you don't want Quicken to be able to see your username and password while logging into the financial institution).

That means what is going wrong is happening on your financial institution's website.

Please save images to files of file type PNG or JPG only. They're easier to work with than PDF files.

What Firefox Settings are you using? If your Browser Privacy is set to something higher than "Standard", try "Standard" and see if that works better.

@tigre99 , I too use Firefox as my default browser and have not had any issues with authorizations. So I second prior comments that perhaps some setting or extension in Firefox is causing this. Try the "Troubleshoot Mode" under Firefox's Help menu. In general my Firefox settings break so many things for me but not Quicken so far.

That it works with Edge, but not Firefox, strongly points to this NOT being a Q issue. It's Citizen's that's causing the problem. Complain to them.

I would lean towards this being the case.

In general people pick their favorite web browser and customize it. For the other web browsers, they tend to leave in them in their default state. So, it isn't surprising that when your main web browser fails to work, but the one that is left in its default state does work, that it is something that you changed on your main web browser.
