Print Portfolio X-Ray report, 2nd attempt
Quicken Moderators suggest that we start a second round of voting for the following Enhancement Idea:
Make the Morningstar Portfolio X-Ray Report printable
The File / Print … menu item (CTRL-P) is not enabled
The original discussion / Idea for Enhancement is posted here:
Print Portfolio X-Ray
and has been languishing in "Planned" status for the last 4 years, with about 22 comments posted in support of this enhancement, but voting not possible due to its Planned status.
If you want to be able to print the Morningstar Portfolio X-Ray Report, available from the Investing tab, Portfolio X-Ray subtab, please add your vote to the vote count in this Idea below.
To vote, click the "▲" triangle under the voting count in the yellow box.
Wait a moment for the vote count to be registered and updated before you continue.
The little triangle changes from black to grey when you have registered your vote.
Adding extra comments helps, but does not automatically increment the vote count.
Every vote counts!

Longtime Quicken user since 1992 (Quicken for DOS !)
the Quicken Classic Premier with the Portfolio X-Ray is a great product! …. but, WTF, we want to be able to print! Time for the XRAY to get into the current century. Make it happen, please.

Do the terms & conditions of the contract with Morningstar still prohibit printing it? I had read somewhere that was the issue years ago (when Intuit still owned Quicken) but maybe that has all changed and Morningstar now permits printing of it? I have also read more recently that not being able to print it is a bug. Which is it?
If it is permitted now then, yes, please allow Portfolio X-Ray to be printed from Quicken.
If it's a bug, fix it please.

I've found you can print the Portfolio X-Ray Stock Intersection if you select the text and past it into either Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word. A little bit of editing / formatting and it prints just fine. I use this method to export the Stock Intersection information for further analysis.

Perhaps cut&paste works for the stock intersection analysis, but it does not work for the overall Xray analysis. Ridiculous not to be able to print — please make it happen.

Odd… in Classic Premier 8680.15, there is a "Print Portfolio X-Ray…" item in the File menu, but it's grayed out.
It is possible to get a scrolling screen shot with a program like SnagIt, then print that, but the page breaks are off.
The Morningstar X-Ray feature is one of the main reasons I updated from Quicken 2014 to the subscription product. Please let us print!

I would love to have this print out when I talk to my investment guy. I have tried work arounds and they are at best inadequate. I am 79 years old and even I know this is not right.

The Release Notes for QWin R67.7 say that printing of the Morningstar Portfolio X-Ray Report has been enabled.
This version is still pushed to users on a limited release basis so you might not be able to use Quicken to update to it, yet.
However, you can download the Manual Patch Update File from and then manually install that to be updated to R67.7.
I have not updated to R67.7, yet, so I cannot comment on how well this new print functionality works but for those who want to update now instead of waiting can do so.

I've updated to R 67.7.
Printing Portfolio X-Ray to a PDF file worked for me … not that my portfolio numbers are looking any better, though … 😀Thank you, programmers!

It even prints the Stock Intersection! Thanks, Quicken!
Now if only it was not double spaced, so it doesn't waste so much paper, it would be even better.
Also they still need to fix the AI Analysis so it doesn't say every portfolio is defensive, with little exposure to foreign stocks and a strong exposure to defensive sectors and the dot all the way at the top of the diagram. See this discussion and others for more info
Hopefully it will not take as long to fix this as it did to fix the printing.

I also agree the Print Portfolio X-Ray works. Thanks Quicken support.
I have multiple ETFs and I get the top 50 stocks and the percentage in each ETF. That is great but I would like to put the results into Excel.
In an earlier post, it was noted that one could copy and paste the contents of the Portfolio X-Ray / Stock Intersection. I am not having any luck in copying and pasting the contents for multiple stocks. When I select say just the top two stocks, the paste results only provide the contents of the second stock. If I subsequently select the contents for a different stock, the paste results do not change and I get the earlier paste again. It appears like the Clipboard contents cannot be over-written. However, I would really like to copy and paste all of the contents. Is anyone else seeing this issue?

I am not aware of any way to copy and paste any of the contents of Portfolio X-Ray into Excel. When I tried doing it I got similar results to what you got.
If you or anyone else has any details on how to do a copy/paste successfully, please be sure to post it here because I know I and many others would find that to be helpful.
Otherwise, you might want to consider posting this as a Product Idea at where others can view, comment on it and cast their vote for it. If you post the idea there, be sure to cast your vote for it and bookmark it. Quicken does review Product Ideas and after enough votes are cast in favor of an idea (generally about 50) the Quicken Development Team will take it into consideration for possible addition to their development plan.Quicken Classic Premier (US) Subscription: R67.7 on Windows 11 Home
