I have been a Quicken user maybe 18 years. Most of that has been Windows. Now about a year of Mac. Although there are MANY things I prefer in Windows, there are some in Mac I prefer as well (stability!) and likely this year I shall use Mac only. Especially if Online Bills is fixed as that is one way I use Windows to keep Mac honest.

I had a sizable list of things from Windows I would like to see in Mac. I have pared it down :-) These are things I think would benefit Mac. I will not start a topic for each, but feel free to. I am throwing this out there to see if others would like to see the same or similar.

I would like to see Bills and Income on the same tab. I often forget to enter income as I do not go too that tab often.
There needs to be a SIGNIFICANT Visual Indication of a new bill arriving. How do you tell now?
I would like to see a separate tab for Investing rather than have to click Investing in the sidebar to bring up portfolios.
FICO score that would be updated monthly would be a nice touch. Not mission critical of course. Should be last on my last.
I think all know the budget is impossible to figure out much less use.
Payees do not seem to be learned. My best example is I shop weekly at Roche Bros. Most times, the transaction comes in that way. 20% of the time or so it comes in as simple "Bros" requiring correction.
I'd like to see a ONE click transaction review new transactions rather than two clicks.
I see no way to update a single account without updating all.
I'd like to set my choice and size of columns for any account type and have ALL of type use that setting.
I no longer see any pdfs for Billers statements
Is there a DSTART for Mac? Was useful in Windows. Is it needed in Mac?
There are many missing and broken billers. Both platforms. We all know that. I think a fire needs to be built under the new billing provider.
I'd like to see, for example in checking, today's balance and online balance side by side upper right rather than clicking or hovering the "I".

Thanks @Quicken Kristina In terms of budget, looked at all it it seems that is for folks already having it working :) I can't even get is started to be productive, hence a "catch all" for somewhat major improvement.

Just not time to make the next separate topis. I think all are viable suggestions though. You might comment on some such as is there a need for DSTART in Mac? Saved my bacon in Windows several times.

Quicken for Mac shouldn't need a DSTART function. Typically, if transactions are going missing, they're inappropriately matching with something already in the register, or it's a known issue with that financial institution (in which case, there would usually be a Community Alert for the issue). @Bob. If you don't separate out the features you want into separate Idea topics, this mish-mash Idea won't go anywhere. It's just not clear to fellow Mac users what exactly they'd be voting for in upvoting your Idea, so it's unlikely to get the votes required to be sent on to the developers. And if the developers do get it, it's not clear which of the many different things they'd be evaluating and deciding whether to accept onto their schedule.

I'm not saying this to criticize; I'm suggesting how you can have a better path to potentially seeing some of these things implemented. 😉

What am I missing? Not looking for votes. I started my 2026 journal and just edited my notes on Quicken Mac, so posted food for thought.. Doesn't anybody read this before posting unhelpful comments?

@Bob. What you're missing is that you created an Idea post. That is done for the purpose of requesting a new or improved feature, and for seeking other users to add their thoughts and votes in the hope it will get enough traction to be forwarded to the developers. If you're looking for discussion, rather than votes for an enhancement request, you should ask a moderator to change this to a regular discussion thread rather than an Idea thread.

Are you employed by Quicken? Then why not just ignore it.

Maybe some people don't do things the way you do. Like look for a placeholder for a transaction today that is dated 7 years ago and no indication it even exists - which should have been on this list.

If a mod wishes to change this, they can. If a mod wishes to remove this, they can. [Removed - Disruptive] I try to NEVER tell anyone what "they should". You might, did you consider, etc. But never "you should".

@Bob. I'm a longtime fellow user, not a Quicken employee.

You asked "What am I missing?" and I answered… and then you blasted me for answering your question. I'm sorry you took offense to my reply. I didn't just say "you should do 'x'"; I said "if you want 'x', then you should…". It was not a command. I was only trying to help you understand how Quicken uses these Idea topics to advance future product feature development, and how you could have a better chance of success with your wishlist items.

Must be something better you can find to do with your time.

Again, I'm sorry my attempt to help irked you. As you have requested, I will try to "use my time better" by refraining from commenting on your posts going forward. 😉

(P.S. For what it's worth, I agree with you that Quicken placing placeholders at the start of time isn't a good design. You didn't even mention it in your post above, but I would vote for an Idea request to change that behavior!)
