Citibank Cards Authentication Problem (QWIN)
Answers

I too, like you received the same request to reauthorize my Citibank account this morning following a self-install of Quicken version R59.6. I logged into Citibank, followed the instruction checking of all the listed accounts, received confirmation that the accounts were reauthorized but upon returning to Quicken was greeted with "Sign-In to Citibank Failed. Try Again". Further details indicated that this was due to a Timeout or Connection issue. Now, my Citibank Checking account says Online Services for this account requires setup which can't be done under these circumstances.
Thinking this may have been the result of the recent Quicken update, I rolled back to the previous version but got the same results. It would appear that the business relationship between Quicken and Citibank needs much improvement as this isn't the first issue encountered with the financial institution.

When downloading my transactions this morning - Friday, September 27, 2024 - I was required to re-authorize my CitiBank card. When doing so I was successful in my browser (7) times but Quicken refused to accept the authorization all seven times. I guess I will try again tomorrow -

Duplicate. Sorry

Add another unhappy user to the list. Yesterday updated to version R59.6 build 27.1.59.6. The update messed up transaction downloads from Citi Bank Visa card. Been through the re-authorization loop successfully with Citi Bank.
Quicken, please get your act together before you release an update!

Same problem here. Started today 9/27, but worked on 9/26. I think it has to do with the latest update.

Also having the same issue. Worked fine yesterday. Two accounts were working now none do. Citi emails say the authorization was completed as requested (5 tries, five confirmations of success). The authorization process immediately changes to a timeout error at the time Citi account authorization completes on their side. Quicken lists one account as not set up for transaction download and the other as Express Web Connect+ and last download not available. Checking the Citi site, there are 3 transactions that should have downloaded along with a few transaction authorization updates.

Citi DC does not work for me. Although it acts like it is downloading without issues, it shows incorrect online balance and doesn't download transactions.

Ah Quicken, you are supposed to make tracking finances easier and less "manual," yet here we are again with another glitch and no communication.
Please fix this issue, address this issue, communicate openly what is happening and estimated time to restoral.
By the way it's also been 2 months since I've had a connection with Northwestern and Quicken (another thread).

We will be blocking all Citi financial insitution connections while we work on a resolution. As a result, users may encounter an FDP-390 error when attempting to update or add accounts. There is no current ETA.
Thanks!"

Same problem for me this morning. I had authenticated with Citi a little while back (several weeks ago?) but was prompted again this morning to authenticate. I get the authentication successful message from Citi okay, but Quicken says the sign in failed. I have tried five times with no success.

Worked yesterday 9/26/24 9 AM CST, today 9/27/24 Quicken does not recognize the Citi authentication after reauthorizing. Has anyone opened a ticket with support?

All Citi connections are being blocked per this Alert update that was posted yesterday: UPDATED! 9/26/24 Citi Card/Citi Bank (all associated Citi Fi's) - Downloading Incorrect Transactions.
I think the Alert statement is not as all encompassing as it says because I am still able to download via DC with Citi Cards and via EWC with Sears Card. But I would imagine that many posting here have been impacted by this.

Same here…The Quicken annual fee is way to high for us to keep receiving untested buggy software.

Another ditto, Citi Costco Visa. (sorry for the dupe, it said the first message did not go thru)

+1 here… started yesterday for me when I performed my usual weekly One Step Update for all my accounts.
Sure would be nice if someone from the Quicken support team would chime in with current status. There is a known issue with Citibank connectivity issues as someone already noted that is being worked on that made the following comment that I assume means all of us are effected by the blocking:Quicken Jasmine

As a side note, I have a Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi, which is one of many Citi cards affected by this issue.
