I reached out to Barclays. They have reported the issue to their internal team as well. They indicated that I should report the following case ID "INC 1041231946". Hope this helps

Quicken support — can we get an update if this can be fixed, so I know if I need to eliminate this credit card?

This is the exact same scenario I am having with my local credit union. I've reported it twice since it began on April 3rd. When I do an account refresh, it will bring over transactions for my savings account only. My checking account is the exact same account number as savings. After the first One Step Update, there is no change to the checking account but when I update a second time, the online bank balance will update to no new transactions come over and nothing that I have previously entered will clear. It's been almost two weeks of feeling like I'd be better off using an old paper checkbook register. It's very frustrating that Quicken is not trustworthy like it used to be. It defeats the purpose when you have to basically check through accounts and bills as much as you have to do with it now.

I've been using web connect with Barclay for years. A few days ago I started getting this error when I click on the QFX file:
"Download unavailable! Quicken is unable to update this account because Web Connect support for your financial institution has been either temporarily, or permanently discontinued. [CC-885]
is this going to be fixed?

This is a BIG problem that Quicken seems to continue to have. If they don't fix it by the end of April, I will cancel my subscription. The software has become absolute crap!

I haven't been able to download transactions from Barclays since 4/3/2026. I anyone else experiencing this problem? I spent 2 hours on the phone with Quickens trying to resolve the issue.

I don't know that Quicken realizes the damage they are doing to their customers' confidence in the product. We experience repeated issues with downloading across various merchants, and it has reached the point that I can no longer trust what Quicken is telling me. I find myself having to logon to numerous sites and cross-check balances and transaction to make sure I'm not missing any. And that kind of defeats the whole purpose, of where Quicken should be a one-stop accurate summary of everything. And I no longer trust the product to do that.

The situation with Quicken is slowly becoming a nightmare. The two credit cards that I use most freqently, Barclays Cards and Target are no longer supported and I am being forced to enter too many transactions for three cards manually, On top of that, I am no longer able to use the bills functions at all because most do not work and the ones that do process transactions when you enter them come back days later and do not make the the payment. Not a week goes by where there is not another glitch with something else. I am serioulsy considering swithing to a basic version of Quick Books. Does anyone else have any experience with the basic version of Quick Books?

I spoke both with Barclays and Quicken. There is an issue but Quicken provided a work around. Download from Barclays the excel format (it will convert to csv). You will need to change the column headings on the downloaded file to Date - Payee - FI Payee - Amount - Debit/Credit - Category - Account - Tag - Memo - Chknum. If debit or credit is listed in any of the rows, you need to change to lower case. Import into Quicken as a Mint.csv file. It will import as a new account. Select all the transactions and drag and drop to the existing Barclay account. Delete the "new" imported account. It worked!!

Here is a good solution….cancel Barclays credit card and get one from another company credit card like Chase. Obviously Barclays does not care about their customers.

The express connect is not working, resetting the account does not help, and Quicken is not able to process a downloaded file. On the bright side, it showing the correct online balance. 😅

I just completed a update of all accounts. The Barclay Bank was included at the start of the update. When it completed and showed a summary of the accounts updated, the Barclay Bank was not listed. I did an update from the individual Barclay account. At the start of the update, it only listed the Barclay account. On completion, the summary was blank. No account listed. It was like it was never there. I again did another update of all accounts, which included the Barclay account. On completion, the summary did not include the Barclay. It was not included on the list. Disappeared! This appears to be an issue with the Quicken software.

I manually downloaded Barclay transactions in a .QFX file. Attempted to manually import them to Quicken. Received this error message: "Quicken is unable to update this account because Web Connect support for your financial institution has been either temporarily, or permanently discontinued [CC-885]."
