I am not able to add QQC or XIU as a securities in the security list. I am using Business & Personal version R67.8. Has anybody encountered this before?
Tell us more. What happens when you try? And are these CAD ETFs, or USD? Because you can only EVER hold a single currency in a any 1 Q account.
This is one of the several issues with Canadian securities not being included in Quicken's data feed that keeps coming up over and over here in the community. This issue has been going on for literally years. People raise tickets. We call support. We ask the moderators for help. We post on Reddit. We give examples to everyone who will listen… and nothing ever comes of it. Nothing has been fixed.
It has nothing to do with the currency limitation. It has everything to do with huge gaps in Quicken's security data for Canadian securities. Why does Quicken not know about "One of the largest and most liquid ETFs in Canada, which is the first ETF in the world"
1. Exposure to large, established Canadian companies
2. One of the largest and most liquid ETFs in Canada
3. Started trading in 1990, making it the first ETF in the world
Hello @RR471 & @Arctic Hare ,
Thank you for letting us know you're encountering this issue. Are QQC and XIU the only ETFs you're currently encountering this issue with? If not, please list any additional ones.
I forwarded this issue to the proper channels for further investigation and resolution. To assist with the investigation, please navigate to Help>Report a Problem and send a problem report with log files attached and reference CBT-1214 in the description. Please also list every ETF, or other security, you see this issue with.
Please post to this discussion to let me know when you have sent the problem report.
Thank you!
(CBT-1214)
@Quicken Kristina No! This is a widespread issue that has persisted for years and affects a large number of Canadian Securities. It is a MAJOR useability issue! Here are links to a few of the related posts - none of which, to my knowledge, have ever been addressed:
Thank you for your reply,
I checked the status of the issues in the discussions you listed, and most of them have been reported:
The issue was reported in CTP-16953. The ticket is still open.
I'm not seeing any ticket for this one, but since your post indicated it was fixed, it's likely that it wasn't escalated.
This was reported in CTP-15826. The specific securities that customers listed started updating again. Since they were updating, the issue was considered resolved.
This issue was reported in CTP-15108. The ticket is still open.
The customer indicated they intended to report it to Quicken Support. No escalation was done through the Community. It doesn't appear that they ever contacted Quicken Support about the issue.
The customer who encountered the issue never responded to you or to Valdari. There was insufficient information for us to investigate the issue.
I can see that they contacted Quicken Support, but I'm not able to see what happened when Support followed up with them the next Monday.
I hope this helps!
